Last weekend was Kaleido weekend and Eclipse Fusion was honoured to be once again part of the festivities on the Bedouin Beats Caravan Stage. Traditionally, the pleasant mid-September weather means that the Caravan Stage is outdoors, but this late astronomical summer (!) was nothing if not out of the ordinary, with snow and temperatures hovering around 0 degrees. Fortunately, Bedouin Beats generously offered their silver studio as the perfect indoors performance space - thank you!
We had an incredible time presenting our newest choreography - to "Sound of Silence" (Disturbed cover of the Simon & Garfunkel classic) twice: on Friday evening at the "A Family of Families" showcase of Bedouin Beats troupes, and again on Saturday afternoon, together with our Sailor Moon-inspired choreography, which we had debuted on the very same stage earlier this year, on the Diamond Dream Stage at the Deep Freeze Festival.
Thank you to everyone who performed or attended (or both!) this year, it was a pleasure dancing with you! We hope to see you again soon - our annual belly dance spooktacular, ApocEclipse, is just around the corner: November 24th at the Old Strathcona Performing Arts Centre on Gateway Blvd. More details are coming very soon on our Facebook page and blog!
